Front View:
Width of stance will also help prevent back pain and neck pain.  Take the width out as far as you can stand it.  Practice this and get used to it.  If you use a wide stance, you will find yourself getting less sore, particularly at the beginning of the season.

Side View:
Head height is very important.  Never go to the point where your chin is below the top of the catcher's head.  The goal here is to be able to track the ball to the catcher's glove - with your eyes only - without moving your head.  You will not be able to do this if you are too low - in particular for the low outside pitch, which is the most troublesome pitch we deal with.
